Kentish Arts Commerce and Tourism is excitedly looking forward to a very special exhibition throughout the month of September at the Sheffield Arts Centre by local North West Coast artist, Helena Ambrosia.

Helena met the invitation to come to Sheffield as a wonderful opportunity to get to know Mt Roland and to build a relationship with the rugged and beautiful landscape surrounding the mountain. She looks forward to sharing her interpretation of the Mountain and her discoveries of the lines, colours and textures unique to the area with our community who know and love this iconic Tasmanian landscape.

Also, on show will be chosen special places on the North West Coast from the Dial Range, Sisters Beach and Turners Beach.

Helena’s practice is to make a relationship with wild places starting from the observation of the small elements, soil, rocks, and plants to discover the hidden patterns and flows within the landscape. Once she has established her perception of colours, contours, lines and textures of an area, she progresses into larger pieces reflective of the grander landscape.

The exhibition will take place at the Sheffield Arts Centre from 1st September to the 30th September, 10am to 3pm daily.

In addition, Helena will be conducting a workshop at the Sheffield Arts Centre on Saturday 7th September from 10am to 4pm ‘Connecting with your Inner Landscape’. For more information and bookings please visit www.uniqueambrosia.com.au .
