Outside Broadcast Spring events have kept the station’s volunteers very busy. There have been many opportunities to meet our listeners and network with our community. I was invited by Mayor Cheryl Fuller to support the RUOK convoy on Thursday 3rd of October in Ulverstone. Thanks to Huw and his team of supports for their work with this very important work amongst our community. Our Outside broadcast unit returned to Ulverstone for the promotion of the Health and Well Being Expo the following week when again more of the community came to seek out some important information to help support their lives. The expo was kept busy with lots of conversations from the 30 plus groups that support the Health and Well Being of our community. Thanks to the Rotary Club of West Ulverstone for organising such a great event.

I am still amazed by the attendances of the community who came out to many of the family friendly spring events across the Coast which included the Tulip Festival in Wynyard and the Spring Fling Wonderland in Devonport. The weather was great and the response from the community was tremendous. Don’t forget to check out the many events posted on the Coast FM community pages www.coastfmtas.au/event to keep up to date with constantly changing events, music events and support pages. If you are having a community event soon there is a submission button on the page to give the station the information that not only gets on the web page but is scripted for announcing on air but added to the stations regular computerise Community Notice Board. If you see the station at one of these events come up and say hello. It’s great to have a chat with the listeners.
