Support, Recognition, Empowerment – by Craig Heppell, President, CCCCI

That is what we are all about at the Central Coast Chamber of Commerce. We are a group of Volunteer Businesspeople supporting over 125 member businesses. But it’s not just all about ‘business’.

On the 12th of February, we held our 2nd Barefoot Bowls Tournament at the Turners Beach Bowls Club.

Great fun, lots of skill, lots of stray bowls with laughter – but the competition was hot!

Eight teams competed the round-robin event, with Hardings Group holding the trophy aloft for the 2nd year in a row. Do you think you have some gun bowlers in your business? Start thinking about the 2026 tournament – we don’t play for Sheep Stations, but close to it! All in All, a great event and lots of fun.

With an election looming, as the President, I have chatted with a few of our local candidates and got a feel for how they a planning to support small business and keep our local economy pumping. More on that in our next article. Our next meeting on the 5th of March, 2025 will be held at Leighlands College, Ulverstone, so if you would like to come along please drop us an email at admin@centralcoastcci.com
