CHURCHES & COMMUNITY COMBINE TO COMMEMORATE 150th

30th March at 2pm at the Penguin Uniting Church, Main Road, Penguin.  Join us for a special service celebrating 150 years of shared history between the churches in Penguin and the community.

The Burnie Concert band will commence this time of joy, memories and fellowship at 1.30pm outside the church. A procession of representatives from the churches and community organisations will enter the church to join the congregation in honouring the faith and hope of the early settlers and migrants – celebrating the continued interaction of the church and the community.

Afternoon tea will be served in the church hall – a time to connect with friends, old and new, and reminisce. An historical display will showcase the rich history and relationship of the churches and community in Penguin. We encourage you to share any photos or memorabilia you may have.

Churches include: Penguin Baptist, Penguin Uniting, Sanctuary Hill Reformed, St. Stephen’s Anglican, St. Mary’s Catholic, and The Rock Community.  By Jeanne Koetsier
