Top Cut Apprentices at World Skills Awards

Every year TAFE select talented apprentices from around the state to compete in World Skills, for their respected trades and professions.

This prestigious event provides a stage for promising individuals to demonstrate their abilities, from construction and manufacturing to IT and culinary arts. This year, three apprentices from TopCut Group were selected – Lachlan Mitchell, Alex Mantje & Cameron Hilfenhaus.

Competitors who do well at a regional competition are invited to compete at the national championships.

Lachie took part in the Sheetmetal Technology competition, While Alex and Cam entered the Construction Steel Work Comp, Cam who is testing his skills not in his Trade category!

 Cameron took out 3rd place in the construction steel. 

Congratulations to all 3 for being selected & putting their skills to the test, it’s an achievement to be recognized.

On the 15th of September  Topcut team attend the Central Coast Chamber of Commerce & Industry awards night. 

TopCut Group saw two, 3rd year apprentices make the finalists list, well done to Lachlan Mitchell and Alex Mantje keep up the great work.

A big congratulations to Alex on taking out this award and making it just in time to receive the award after knocking off from a long Saturday shift, this showcases the efforts Alex will go to. He is a well-deserved winner.
