In a moment of immense pride for Tasmanian cricket, a young and promising cricketer, Brayden Devries, has been awarded the coveted Donald Bradman Trophy – Batting Award at the Australian Country Cricket Championships. This prestigious award, named after arguably the greatest batsman of all time, Sir Donald Bradman, recognizes outstanding talent, dedication, and sportsmanship in young cricketers.
Brayden has demonstrated exceptional skills and a passion for the game throughout his junior career. He is pictured here with fellow Tasmanian Teammate, Param Uppal, who was awarded Player of the Championship.
The Ulverstone District Cricket Club is also thrilled to announce Brayden has been selected to represent the Tigers at Second XI level. After narrowly missing out on 6 straight years of underage National championships Brayden was eventually selected at Second XI level, at just 20 years of age.
Brayden travelled to Perth during January to Play a 4-day Fixture at the WACA where he took the gloves to be wicket keeper. His achievement didn’t happen just by chance, but also due to his willingness to work hard to improve his skills. He is a young leader and role model for those coming up through our junior level ranks.
