From Central Coast Council News
The Central Coast Council is excited to share a proposed By law to enhance the management of caravans and camping across our beautiful region. This initiative, inspired by community feedback, promotes safe, sustainable use of our reserves and foreshore areas.
The By-law outlines: Designated Camping: Camping is allowed only in specific areas, with a three-night limit. Fire Safety: Open fires are prohibited, with exceptions for outdoor solid-fuel cooking appliances. Permits: Overnight camping permits are required. Waste Disposal: Campers must follow strict waste guidelines to protect our environment. Environmental Protections: Camping is restricted within 20 meters of waterways to preserve sensitive ecosystems. This framework is intended to reduce environmental impact while supporting the needs of the community, including provisions for those experiencing homelessness. We believe this By-law will foster a positive experience for all.
