The Club has recently commenced the Spring roster competition with a change to the way the comp is run. Rather than running teams of 4 players of different abilities and trying to ensure the teams have an even spread of talent, the players have been divided into 4 groups of approximately equal ability to play against each other. Each player has also been given a handicap to further level the playing field. We have attracted quite a few new players and it has resulted in many very entertaining matches and has so far been a great success.

The club was also successful in gaining a community grant from Simplot Australia and a grant from Active Tasmania. The money has been used to purchase new squash racquets which can be used by anyone who would like to come and try squash without the commitment to purchase their own gear. We also have junior racquets for the same purpose and to run some junior training programs. Racquetball equipment has been purchased with a view to gauging interest and potentially starting a social roster. Finally a table tennis table was purchased which can be wheeled into any spare court to be used.

Anyone who is interested in coming down to try Squash or Racquetball please contact

Competition nights are each Wednesday and we are also depending on interest looking at running sessions on the 2nd and 9th October at 6:30pm for racquetball and squash.

If you’re not sure where the squash courts are located look for the bright red sign on the side of the sports/basketball stadium near the boat ramp. Courts are available for use any time up until 9:30pm each day with coin operated lights.
