Junior paddlers at Forth are keen to get back into Slalom Cross and Slalom after watching Jessica and Noemie Fox collect gold in their Olympic races. This year the club built a launching ramp for the Slalom Cross.
Paddlers enjoy the zing of the launch, the chaos and excitement of the challenges, as the charge into each other and the gates, while staying in their kayak.
Members are keen to have some races in the upcoming spring and summer in preparation for the National Age Championships at Forth in 2025.
Dougal Folder will be hoping to make the finals after his bronze in the Tasmanian Age Championships.
The local canoe club at Forth has slalom training and paddling for new members. Over the last 3 years the Forth slalom course has become a popular state and national attraction for slalom training and events.
