Book Review – MRS. JEFFRIES DUSTS FOR CLUES

Sep5,2024

MRS. JEFFRIES DUSTS FOR CLUES by Emily Brightwell

A fast-paced murder mystery, set in a quaint old-fashioned town near London. The Police Inspector doesn’t enjoy solving complex crimes, especially murders, but must try his best to prove himself. He feels faint at the sheer thought of inspecting human remains, but must pull himself together quickly, before Scotland Yard takes over the case.

The characters are described so well, every little humorous saying makes you want to giggle out loud. As a reader, you will find yourself wanting to know every detail about them, just as much as wanting to know all the answers of the crimes.

To keep you enthralled, a second dead body is found, so the plot and the gossip becomes more exciting. The Inspector’s faithful servants keep themselves busy trying to help their Master by finding out all the gossip around town, helping their boss unravel the secrets of those involved and uncover the clues to solve the murder.

I didn’t want this book to end. Thoroughly entertaining!
