Book Review by Michelle

Bush Flowers: Australian flowers and foliage for decoration and design by Cassandra Hamilton and Michael Pavlou

This comprehensive plant library is both practical and well written. It provides detailed descriptions, images, and information on where these plants thrive and how they will function once cut and ready for display in vases. The advice on what to pair in a bouquet is precise and practical. These recommendations can help to establish cohesiveness or contrast in an arrangement. Specific guidance on the most textured and sculptural plants is also useful. The photography is stunning, motivating you to get some more plants for the garden and vase.

This book is available to borrow from Libraries Tasmania. Visit www.libraries.tas.gov.au or pop into your local library to check availability or to place a hold.
